Fine man.
What a small world this is.
Phew, completed two exhausting days of work at the COURTS MEGATEX thingy at expo. i'm so glad that it's actually for two days only. you dont know how much I (we) have suffered through this sixteen hours of standing at almost the same spot. i only moved when the customers came to make their payment. lol. i wasn't a cashier btw, i was a cashier's assistant. and all i had to do was to put the customers' stuff into the plastic bags and paste the PAID sticker. LOL. and in fact most of the time there were no customers, only at certain times there will be a queue. so i'm actually quite redundant there. no wonder i received so many stares from the workers. and they were quite unfriendly somemore. the first hour on the first day was the worst. i got a scolding for standing there and not doing anything! like as if there were things for me to do. and the worse thing was, we were not told what to do at all. the person just allocated each of us to one counter and told us that the cashier will guide us. but i stood behind the cashier for almost an hour and she totally ignored me. until she finally turned around and said "ehh actually here got nothing much to pack one." then i was like huh how am i supposed to 'pack'. but she didnt say anything further so i tried to observe what the other counters were doing, though they were quite far away from me. finally a customer came to make his payment and that was when i got a scolding from that guy. he said smth like "xiao mei ah, ni kuai dian qu pack leh. bu yao zhan zai na bian she me dou bu yao zuo.." -___- that was when i know that their 'pack' just simply means to put the stuff into the plastic bag. great. then there was another customer who bought a dvd player in a big box and that same guy asked me if i know how to tie anot. i said dunno then he diao-ed me and started tying himself. zzz wl in the first place i wasn't even taught how to and looking at the way he tie is like wth i can never do it kind. you need to have alot of strength to pull the string tightly together and you have to loop it at a few areas of the box. the next few hours that followed were not any better. i still received constant stares and glares from the workers cos i look like i'm not doing anything. but there isn't any customer in the first place!! the worse was i got dao-ed quite a few times when i tried to ask questions. it's either they dao me or they just give me one word reply. and sometimes the background music was so loud that i couldn't hear them properly. then when i said huh they just walked off. haha i felt so sad can..
Fortunately, there were a few nice people which i met there. there was this girl opposite who was a promoter and she kept looking over to my side and smiling to me. i guess she pitied me cos i looked so lonely and bored. HAHA. then whenever she manages to sell something to a customer, she'll walk over and help me put the box into the plastic bag, and smile and say thank you. on the second day i said Hi to her already. LOL. in fact actually her colleagues there are much better than mine. at least they bothered to talk to me instead of those who didnt say anything and expect me to know everything -_- oh there was also a nice man who came and offered us some cotton candy on the second day. lol. but i made a fool out of myself because the cotton candy. cos i was holding it in one hand. then the other i tried to put the box into the plastic bag. but i accidentally dropped the cotton candy and it got stuck on the plastic bag -__- then i had to hurry change into a new one, of course with the customer staring at me. LOL. i wonder if the box got any cotton candy on it anot.. LOL. the crowd at my side was okay. probably because the PHILIPS brand is less popular so there were lesser people. haha. i pity those who got allocated to the SAMSUNG counter or smth. heard that the sales and the queue there is crazy. lol. and we got to see a few celebrities there. like the yes933 DJ jiahui and weibin. they were very cute, high and all. lol. and also mark lee and fiona xie. erms. haha. if the celebrity that i like is there i would have been much happier. lol. when i finally got my pay, i was so happy. the sixteen hours of standing finally paid off. i think i am one of the few unlucky ones who wasn't offered a seat and had to stand all the way -_- my legs almost broke and at some times i just felt like collapsing. and i was wearing palms on the second day so i had blisters all over now. urgh. oh well at least it's an experience. i got to see people from all colours and sides. sometimes it's just annoying when you see the promoter being so polite and all to the customers but to you he just gives you the 'forget it' attitude. ohh whatever. and the funny thing was, the most repeated phrase which i said was "Uhh sorry I'm not a sales promoter, maybe you can go over to that guy to ask..." LOL i was mistaken to be the promoter so many times cos my attire looked the same as theirs. they just come and bombard me with questions like how much is this? what are the functions? where can you find this? where's the warranty card? is it stamped? and so on. lol. there was one who asked me if there's a remote controller to the dvd player in the box, and i just anyhow said ya, then i was so scared that i gave her the wrong info after that. but luckily it's really a ya. HAHA oopsie.
Okay, off to watch my MIOTV now. my dad just installed it last week. muahahaha there are so many movies which i can watch!! but many of them are outdated already though. but nvm there are still some nice ones which i haven't watched yet. yay so happy wahahaha :D
